Best described as Broadway Jazz, Ionian Groove merges a contemporary sensibility with an accessible swing style performing well-known songs from the 1930’s-1950’s. More than simply familiar melodies and entertaining lyrics, these songs are great stories that capture the heart and move the soul.

With songs from Gershwin to Porter, Berlin to Bacharach, Ionian Groove combines the warmth and beauty of the harp with the mellow strength of the male voice.

Individually, Frances Thiele and Scott Cameron bring a wealth of experience to Ionian Groove. Frances has charmed fans at music festivals Australia wide, won new audiences with her debut CD, Heart’s Ease, and played with major companies such as the Melbourne City Opera. Scott, an award-winning composer and singer, has performed on television and in film; in musicals and cabaret. Together, their unique musical partnership unites expert musicianship with the sophistication, elegance and humour of a night at the theatre.
